Making Ahead

One of the things I have been trying to do a lot of lately is making things ahead and freezing them. I recently made 19 cups of vegetable stock, which is stored in my freezer in one cup bags. Last night my tomatoes were going bad so I made up a batch of marinara sauce and froze it. I also made up some pizza dough last night and put into the fridge so that is ready for me to take and bake it up when I get home from work. It is so much easier to make meals at home when half the work is already done and waiting on you. This definitely works for me.

I like to do this too. I buy a family pack of ground beef and chicken, cook all of it and freeze it in meal size portions. It saves so much time when I can throw together a meal is less than 30 minutes! Great post! Do you have a good recipe for marinara?

I was just thinking about a post like this when I was doing dishes earlier today. I noticed that my husband used the last of the already chopped up green onions.

When I chop green onions I always chop the whole bundle, so I won't have to chop them for each thing I want them for...

Come by my place today to see how you can Cruise through the Holidays, in my WFMW.
Have a Great Day!

I used about 5 roma tomatoes 1 small can of tomato sauce. 1 clove of garlic, onion powder (I am out of onion), dried oregano and dried basil. This made a pretty small amount about 1 1/2 cups.
